Sweet Saturday Giveaway

I have decided to do my first ever giveaway! There will be two prizes, and two winners. The first prize will be a lovely pair of Ice Drop Earrings, and the second prize will be my Spring Rain Necklace!

All you have to do to have a chance to win is go to both of my etsy shops, and then leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite item is, and why you would love to win one of these lovely prizes. The last day to enter will be October 24th! I will put all the names in a hat and draw two at random. If there is only one comment, then that person will win both items. The winner will be announced the following day.

The Tea Party Brooch

My friend Hollie, over at blueberryshoes.etsy.com, is having a great giveaway on her blog. You can find the giveaway, and the rules here http://mermaidscloset.blogspot.com/2009/06/my-first-blog-giveaway.html.

The item featured in the giveaway is a lovely pink rosette brooch with elegant sparkly details. I admired this brooch from the moment I saw it. It is so sweet, and pretty, just perfect to wear on a summer picnic, or anywhere really.

Trades!

I got the most lovely tags the other day in the mail! They are simply stunning! I did a trade with inkihandmade on Etsy. She sent me 6 of these tags...

Handmade Block Printed Doilies 6 Paper Tags $3.50 by inkihandmade.etsy.com

...and I sent her these bobby pins.

I was so delighted with the doily stamp she used on the tags that I asked if she could make me one, and she said she can. I'm so excited!

Wayside Violet

Etsy is one of my favorite places to shop, and I am constantly finding new and wonderful shops. There are so many talented people on Etsy, and I am in awe of so many of them. One of my most favorite shops on Etsy at the moment, and one of the few I have ever bought from(not because I don't love the stuff in other shops. It's more because I can't afford all of it, and I just can't decide between most of it), Is a delightful little shop called Wayside Violet. The owner of Wayside Violet is Jessica Goodman. She is so sweet and wonderful to work with. Wayside Violet sells some of the most beautiful knitted coffee cup cozies. Her coffee cup cozies are not only lovely and stylish, they are also very well made. I had Wayside Violet make me a custom cable knit coffee cup cozy in a deep blue for my sister for her birthday. I got my order very fast, and it was simply lovely, and so soft. I loved the cozy, and am thinking of ordering another one for myself in another color. Wayside Violet is a very charming shop! Go check it out!
