Steampunk?

Yes, I said steampunk. I know I don't really seem like the steampunk type, and I'm really not. But the whole style and way of life intrigues me. I think it's their uniqueness, and love of old vintage things, and just how beautiful they make it. Now the punk side of it is not really for me, but I have to say that after watching this video...

All of this really started when my husband and I were at the model railroad club that we are members of. I spotted some old model steam engine drivers/wheels, and they looked so awesome. They were not going to use them, so I have them now. I made this lovely necklace from 3 of them, and still have 1 more that I need to find a place for. When I saw these model train wheels I knew I just had to make something out of them. This necklace reminds me of a more creative time, and a time when things were made not only to be functional, but beautiful as well. I really adore this necklace! It's one of my favorite pieces. I describe it as feminine steampunk. This necklace is very unique, and just perfect for anyone who loves steampunk.
